Remember
my challenge - after meeting Peter Duncan at Westminster Abbey on Founders
Day, I decided to raise money to buy a toilet for children in Africa - read
my story here. and my update...
Hazel Taylor from Water Aid came along to 9th Lymington Sea Scouts to talk to the whole group about Water Aid, and I was able to hand over my cheque in person.
My aim at the begining was to provide a toilet to someone who did not have one.
I am delighted to say, I handed over a cheque for
£1,011.30
so a big Thank you to everyone who helped!
Thank you to Waitrose donating everyone in my group a bottle of water, we were also able to hand over a second cheque for £303.61 which the Beavers, cubs and Scouts collected, which along with the clothes we had sent to Scouts in Uganda enabled us as a Group to get our International Partnership Awards.
Together we provided water for life to 87 people!
And I made the news on the Water Aid Web Site.
and on the Hampshire Scout Web Site.
