First of all where will the distinction be from sept 08 between nursery providers on network and getting funding, with all childminders as we all then have to offer same 6 core areas of learning to the children - Tina Bennett

Answer: No one is yet sure how this will work - at the moment only Accredited Childminders are able to claim funding through their Network Coordinator, but the role of the coordinators is changing to help and support all childminders, so perhaps in the long term all places may be funded - but this is not clarified yet. June 2007

If we take a child from 0 to age 5 or 6 years have to watch the play, concentrate on their development to assess that for each child's individual needs and plan daily activities and then record response to activities provided, what do we do with all the paperwork accumulated over 6 years is it given to reception teacher towards profile? we have to share planning with other settings children attend.

Answer: We pass a summary sheet onto the next teacher (they will not want to read more than 1 or 2 sheets of paper), and the rest you pass to the parent, however you do not want to create mountains of paperwork.

If we have taken years to gain our experience how will new childminders get knowledge quick enough to implement eyfs

Training will be available eventually through every Early Education and Child care unit, and all childminders will be made aware of this, all will have access to support through their Early Years Team, they will also have to explore the EYFS pack, read the literature and take a look at the video resources.
